What to Know for Tonight!
Series: Working Out Your Faith
As we kick off the new year, we’re starting a short series with our students on spiritual disciplines, based on 1 Timothy 4:6–8. We’re talking about how spiritual growth doesn’t just happen—it takes training, kind of like physical fitness.
Lesson: Church
Scripture: Hebrews 10:19-25
This week we wrap up our series on Spiritual Habits by talking with students about why gathering with the church matters. Using Hebrews 10:19–25, we explored how Jesus makes a way for us to draw near to God—and how God designed faith to be lived out together, not alone.
We want students to see church not as a box to check, but as a place where they are known, encouraged, challenged, and reminded of the hope we have in Christ. Building habits like prayer, listening, Scripture, and gathering with God’s people helps form a lasting faith that can weather doubt, pressure, and change.
We’d also love to invite your whole family to join us for Sunday worship. We offer three services at 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:15am, and we’d be honored to worship alongside you.
Important Reminder!
Impact is a phone-free environment from the time students arrive until small groups end at 8:30 p.m. If you need to reach your student in an emergency, please text us at 626-761-0229 and we’ll respond right away. Our goal is to give them freedom from distraction so they can fully engage with one another and with God’s Word.

What is the Bible?
The Bible is the Word of God. It is written by man, yet divinely inspired so that every word belongs to God Himself. The Bible is not a collection of rules, stories, or heroes but one consistent story about God’s redemption for all mankind through Jesus. Because the Bible is God’s Word, it is true, necessary, and holds the ultimate authority in my life.
Scripture – Hebrews 4:12-13
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Conversation Question:
How is the Word of God different from the word of man?
