Lesson: Read

Scripture: Psalm 119:9-16

And we’re back!

As we kick off the new year, we’re starting a short series with our students on spiritual disciplines, based on 1 Timothy 4:6–8. We’re talking about how spiritual growth doesn’t just happen—it takes training, kind of like physical fitness.

Today is all about reading the Bible! It’s the habit we know we should do, but we often let slide. How can we change that? We’ll go over why we need to read regularly and some simple choices that will make things way smoother.

We’ll also encourage them to start a Bible reading plan that you can join with them! Check below!

Important Reminder!

Impact is a phone-free environment from the time students arrive until small groups end at 8:30 p.m. If you need to reach your student in an emergency, please text us at 626-761-0229 and we’ll respond right away. Our goal is to give them freedom from distraction so they can fully engage with one another and with God’s Word.

January Catechism

How can I know God?

I can only know God through Jesus by the Holy Spirit. God is infinite, yet knowable. He reveals His character and His will to me through His Word, Church, and creation. I can now live in relationship with Him, knowing Him and loving Him forever.

Scripture – John 14:6-7

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
