What to Know for Tonight!

Series: Malachi – Arguing With God

Lesson – Our True Hope

Scripture – Malachi 3:13-4:5

Hey Parents!

Tonight we finish our series on Malachi. It’s been a great exercise in learning how to read the Bible. It’s also been great to study this relatively unknown book. Throughout the story, we’ve seen God’s people argue with God and resist His call to return to Him. But today they finally learn.

God rebukes them for their blasphemy against Him. Instead of arguing further, they come together to repent. God then shows them what hope exists for those who fear Him and He shows them His plan for redemption through a coming Savior.

April Catechism

What is God’s will for my life?

God’s will for my life is my sanctification. He wants me to be holy as He is holy. His will is not a hidden secret for me to discover, He simply wants me to become more like Jesus every day. I am called to love God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love my neighbor as myself.

Scripture – Psalm 119:9-11

How can a young man keep his way pure?
    By guarding it according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I seek you;
    let me not wander from your commandments!
11 I have stored up your word in my heart,
    that I might not sin against you.

Conversation Question:
