Kids Weekly for K–5th

Hey Parents! This weekend in Foothill Kids we are learning about being born again. Our Bible truth for today was “God planned to save His children through the sacrifice of His Son.“ We looked at I Peter 1: 1-12 and explored how Peter spoke of how Jesus has already won our greatest victory – the victory over sin and death!

 Here are a few questions for your ride home:

QUESTION 1: What BATTLE had Jesus already won for us?  Jesus won the victory over sin and death, and prepared a place for us in heaven where there will be no more suffering.  

QUESTION 2: Peter said that believers will go through suffering and trials. What is a trial? Why does God allow trials in our lives? A trial is any difficulty that we experience that forces us to trust in Jesus for help. Peter said God brings us trials to test our faith. It is easy to forget about God when everything is going well.  However, when difficulties come, we are forced to turn to the Lord and trust him.

QUESTION 3: Who did Peter compare to a prowling lion in 1 Peter 5:8? Satan. What weapons do we have to fight against him? God’s word, prayer, fellowship with other Christians
