I am an adoptee; born in South Korea and raised locally here in southern California. I was blessed with a wonderful family made up of my dad, mom, and younger sister. Church life was an important value for us, so we were at church early and often. While I certainly was prompted towards Christ as an early child, I did not come to a saving knowledge of Jesus until my youth group days where I realized the depravity of my sin and how my salvation is a beautiful demonstration of the saving power of Christ.
I attended APU with my girlfriend, Katie, and when we finished with school, we got married and jumped into full-time ministry in the form of a church plant in Temecula, CA. I led worship, oversaw youth ministry, and learned a great deal, but eventually felt that God was calling us to something new.
In 2007, Shaen and Katie Marks (close friends of ours from college) joined Chris and Michelle Lewis here at Foothill to help with the revitalization process of the church and in December of that year, my wife and I joined the effort. I've worn lots of hats, but the constant pull in ministry for me has always been relationship building and developing leaders for the sake of the gospel. I love this community and the deep commitment that is a part of our church culture.
My wife and I have been blessed with four young children (Owen, Penny, Margo, and Wesley) and live right here in Glendora.
