We asked everyone to collect an envelope from the wall of one of the two campuses and donate the amount of the number they selected by the end of October 2017. If all 700 envelopes were collected and paid for, it would raise $245,000. In addition to our existing giving to missions, all funds went towards the following five initiatives:
Acts 29 is a diverse, global family of church-planting churches characterized by: Theological Clarity, Cultural Engagement and Missional Innovation.
Europe is linguistically and culturally diverse and varied and yet shares a common heritage. Broadly Acts 29 Europe comprises the English-speaking countries in the west (the British Isles and Ireland), the Latinate countries of the South (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy) Greece and Turkey to the South East, Scandinavia in the North, the Germanic countries in the centre with Slavic, Baltic and Balkan states in the East.
Statistically speaking, it is impossible to speak in anything but generalities in terms of the continent as a whole. In general the dire percentages of evangelicals (2.5%) across the continent masks the exciting work that is going on nearly everywhere. The church has existed in Europe for 2000 years, and we preach the gospel in post-Catholic, post-Protestant, post-Secular Europe with the wisdom that God gives us, planting churches for the good of our continent and the glory of God.
