What to Know for Tonight!
Series: The Seven Churches of Revelation
Hey Parents!
We just started a new series walking through Jesus’ messages to the seven churches in Revelation. Each week is super practical—looking at real strengths, real struggles, and what it actually looks like to follow Jesus faithfully. Our goal is to help students see that these aren’t just ancient letters—they speak directly to their lives right now.
Lesson: Compromise (PLEASE READ)
Scripture: Revelation 2:12-29
This week we’ll be looking at two churches that were drifting—not by rejecting Jesus outright, but by slowly compromising in what they believed and how they lived. Part of the conversation will include how the Bible speaks about sexual immorality. We’ll approach this in an age-appropriate way—no explicit detail or “birds and the bees”—but we do want students to understand that our bodies and choices matter to God, and that His design is good and protective.
Our goal is to help students see both the seriousness of compromise and the hope of following Jesus faithfully. If you’d like to continue the conversation at home, this is a great opportunity to reinforce your family’s values and talk about why God’s boundaries are for our good.
Important Reminder!
Impact is a phone-free environment from the time students arrive until small groups end at 8:30 p.m. If you need to reach your student in an emergency, please text us at 626-761-0229 and we’ll respond right away. Our goal is to give them freedom from distraction so they can fully engage with one another and with God’s Word.

Questions for the Ride Home
- Where do you feel pressure to go along with what everyone else is doing?
- Why is it easier to slowly drift than to make one big wrong choice?
- What are some “small compromises” that can pull us away from God over time?

April Catechism
What is God’s will for my life?
God’s will for my life is my sanctification. He wants me to be holy as He is holy. His will is not a hidden secret for me to discover, He simply wants me to become more like Jesus every day. I am called to love God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love my neighbor as myself..
Scripture – Matthew 22:36-39
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Conversation Question:
The two greatest commandments are quite simple to know, but can be very hard to practice. How can we practically live these out in everyday life this week?
